 Being crowned -- Mrs. United States 2007 Pageant

Stephanie is Mrs. Washtenaw County America 2010

 

Stephanie entered the Mrs. United States 2007 Pageant without any expectations. She considers herself extremely fortunate to have represented the 54 elegant women who competed in the event.

Stephanie graduated from Western Michigan University. While at WMU she was President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and an outstanding Thespian member of Theta Alpha Phi. Stephanie is a devoted Flight Attendant for Delta Airlines Inc. and has served on flights for the Presidential Press Staff, the National Basketball Association, Major league Baseball, and the Detroit Lions. She is a member of Airlines Ambassadors, an organization recognized by the U.S. Congress for its humanitarian efforts.

Stephanie believes in a quote by Helen Keller: “I find life an exciting business and most exciting when it is lived for others.”

 

Jordan & Donnie

 

This quote is embodied in Stephanie’s true passion as a Stephanie Hunt at NORDspokesperson for the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD®) and as an Executive Committee member for the Rubinstein-Taybi Family Research Fund. After winning Mrs. United States, Stephanie was recognized for her efforts with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS) on the floor of congress by proclamation from the Honorable John Dingell (D-MI).

Her five year old son, Donnie is afflicted with (RTS), a rare genetic disorder which is characterized by developmental delays and physical abnormalities. “A rare disorder isn’t rare when it affects someone you love.”

She traveled extensively, representing Mrs. United States, and continues to work towards promoting awareness everywhere for rare disorders, the need for ongoing research, and is hopeful that eventually there will be a cure for many.



Mr. & Mrs. Hunt

 

She is a wife and mother of two sons, Jordan and Donnie and two stepsons, Andy and Adam. Stephanie’s husband of ten years, Donald is an attorney.
