Stephanie graduated from Western Michigan University and while there was was President of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. and an outstanding Thespian member of Theta Alpha Phi. Stephanie is a devoted Flight Attendant for Delta Airlines Inc. and has served on flights for the Presidential Press Staff, the National Basketball Association, Major league Baseball, and the Detroit Lions. She is a member of Airlines Ambassadors, an organization recognized by the U.S. Congress for its humanitarian efforts.
Stephanie believes in a quote by Helen Keller: “I find life an exciting business and most exciting when it is lived for others.” This quote is embodied in Stephanie’s true passion as a spokesperson for the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD®) and she has been recognized on the floor of congress by proclamation from the Honorable John Dingel (D-MI) for her efforts with Rubinstein-Taybi Syndrome (RTS). Her son, Donnie is afflicted with (RTS), a rare genetic disorder which is characterized by developmental delays and physical abnormalities. Stephanie is heavily involved in promoting awareness everywhere for rare disorders, the need for ongoing research, and is hopeful that eventually there will be a cure for many.
Stephanie was instrumental in having Rare Disease Awareness Day recognized by the City of Detroit, the County of Washtenaw, and the State of Michigan. Through her efforts, Michigan was the first State to proclaim February 28 at Rare Disease Awareness Day.
She is a wife and mother of two sons, Jordan and Donnie and is married to Donald, an attorney. Stephanie is an elected member of the Board of Trustees for Pittsfield Township.
Stephanie has held many titles. Most notably Mrs. Michigan America 2010 and Mrs. United States 2007. She was recently nominated for the Delta Airlines Chairman’s Club Award for 2011. Stephanie is the CEO/President of the MS. World International Pageant System.
